Notes: Vehicles using this axle MUST have the original heat shield around the y-pipe and front catalytic converter and have the fuel mixture properly adjusted. Missing heat shields or improperly set fuel mixture can cause the inner axle boots to overheat and eventually split, resulting in loss of lubricant and/or contamination of the inner CV joint, leading to failure of the joint.
