If you were driving 70 MPH and were legally drunk (.08) it would take you an additional 4 feet to react. That is nothing compared to what happens if you're sending a text. It takes you a whopping 17.5 times longer than a drunk driver to react. You would drive an extra 70 feet before reacting to a problem situation. Yikes - get off the phone!
