INFORMATION
The Audi history begins with a man named August Horch ("Audi" is the Latin translation for "Horch") who invented his first car in 1901. The Audi emblem with its four rings identifies one of Germany’s oldest-established automobile manufacturers. It symbolizes the union of four previously independent motor-vehicle manufacturers in 1932: Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer. In the years during WWII, Audi manufactured motorcycles, engines, and even parts for submarines. Recently Audi acquired exotic car icon Lamborghini. The Audi S4 Quattro is listed as one of Car & Driver's 10 Best for 2004.
