The two starters may differ in appearance, but either brand starter will work provided the following info is taken into account: most applications will use Bosch starter SR 176 X. This unit has NON-threaded mounting holes spaced 120mm (4 3/4") apart. A few applications may instead use Bosch starter SR 4307 X. This unit has THREADED mounting holes spaced 105mm (4 1/8") apart.
