Main differ- ence is the Japan made ones come w/ round spark plug boots/seals and the USA made ones come w/ square spark plug boots/seals. Our aftermarket brand ones, all come w/ the square spark plug boots/seals, but underneath the square cover is a round sealing surface so functionally they are fine.
